There are a lot of upndits that are perdicting a sweep for the demcrats in the upcoming nation election.  I do not necessarily agree with this assessment.  If you look at the polls then you would not come to this assessment either.

 

 

The polls say that the President's popularity is low but they also say that the democratic congresses is historically low.  It is to be expected that a presidents rating coming to the end of his final term will be low.  What suprises is just how little that the American public reguards the congress.  Then again I quess that it should not suprise us at all that the general public dislikes the congress.

 

 

The congress has done precios little to alliviate the biggest problem that is out there.  That is the rising cost of fuel.  The can talk about going after the speculators on the commodities market, but until they allow the oil companies to drill thing won't get any better.  Then they are trying to go after th people who own stock in the oil companies.  They want to institute a windfall prophist tax.  Don't they anderstand that this type of tax will hurt the blue collar people?  More and more middle class people are owning stock.

 

 

It they are not carefull, they will irreperably harm the country.
